Clarence H. Engler, 77, of Mansfield, RD 5 and formerly of New Philadelphia, died this morning at Mansfield Memorial Homes.

Born July 4, 1896 in New Philadelphia, he was a retired employee of the Allied Machine Shop in New Philadelphia and a member of First Christian Church there.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Maurer of Mansfield, and Mrs. Lester (Jean) Hicks, New Philadelphia; two sons, Clifford and Richard, both of Massilon; a brother, Oliver, of Canton; two sisters, Mrs. Dee (Vera) Lineberry of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Charles (Etta) Lawyer of Port Washington; 13 grandchildren and thre great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia with the Rev. Jay D. Cooper officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park.
