WASHINGTON -- Mrs. Ruth A. Charles, born March 31, 1822, died April 27, 1895, aged 73 years and 26 days.  She was born in Washington Co., Pennsylvania and moved to Richland County in 1830, was married to C.C. Charles on April 27, 1847, who died May, 1891.  There were born to them eight children, four sons and four daughters, only four of whom are living, John J. and Mrs. C.A. Marks, of this place, and George M. and David H. of Mansfield.  The children wish to return their thanks to the neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted during the illness and burial of their mother.

Ruth A. Charles, widow of C.C. Charles and mother of Officer George Charles, of this city, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Marks, near Lucas, aged 73 years.  Funeral Monday at 10 o'clock a.m.
