LEXINGTON --For several consecutive years the revered CATHERINE McCUNE's mind has been a dreary blank and her tenure of life had often seemed very nearly exhausted and she had required the constant vigils of her friends and on last Thursday the skeleton hand of death was laid upon this venerable relic of the last century, she having been born in Maryland more than 94 years ago, and now beneath the drooping willows and whispering pines in our beautiful cemetery, her remains repose beside those of her daughter, Mary, who exhausted her energies but a few months ago by her almost ceaseless vigils over her venerated mother.

Brush of Bellville, officiated the obsequies of the deceased, who had many years been a communicant of the Methodist Church, and of all the numerous progeny of the deceased, Smith McCune of Lexington, John McCune of Greeley, Colorado, and Joseph McCune, of Morrow County, are the only survivors ...
